With a tenure of 20+ years of experience in all areas of the travel and concierge industry, Carmen has received recognition for her extensive knowledge about destinations and luxury services from people who had the opportunity to work and collaborate with her.
In 2002 she entered the concierge world of luxury hospitality when she joined The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, Maui and later moved to the continental United States to serve guests in Palm Beach, Key Biscayne, Miami and in Orlando, Florida.
Carmen is currently the Chef Concierge at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, a member of the prestigious association of Les Clefs d’Or USA “Keys of Gold” and a recipient of The CFHLA “2016 Golden Pineapple Award” for Concierge of the Year.
She has been a member of The Central Florida Concierge Association for 6 years and is now enjoying her role as she continues to develop and inspire concierge professionals.

Jasmine Harrell – Secretary
Jasmine Harrell, known as “Jazz” is a native of Detroit MI, once a Business major who came to work for the Disney College Program in 2005. Intrigued by the Disney culture so much she changed her major graduating with a B.A in Communication so she could create magic for every person she came in touch with. After college, she worked 9 years for the Girl Scouts of Southeastern MI as a Field Leader, later went to Boy Scouts of America for 9 months before following her dream to return to FL and work for Disney. Her journey with Disney started in Tampa,FL and currently a Group Planning Coordinator on the prestigious ‘Flight Team’ for Walt Disney World. As a Board Member with the CFCA, Jazz aspires to use technology to move forward in the association while staying committed to outstanding guest service. Jazz, also strives to continue in assisting and fostering long lasting relationships with the Board, Association and our partners while creating new one’s.
Alex Lum – Treasurer
Alex was born and raised in Yokohama, Japan and earned a B.B.A in Hotel & Resort Management from State University of New York. After graduation, Alex moved to Orlando to work at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort and pursued his concierge career at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. Continuing his concierge career, Alex was part of the opening team of Four Seasons Resort Orlando in 2014 and Four Seasons Resort Oahu in 2016 however, moved back to Orlando to join forces again with his team. He is now a Les Clefs d’Or USA member and has the honor of wearing the “Golden Keys”.
Debra Flippo – Associate
I have been a part of the Central Florida Concierge Association since the fall of 2015 and have enjoyed every minute of it. I joined the concierge team with hopes of bringing collaboration and strengthened relationships between the tourism business owners and our guests within the Orlando community. I am skilled at communicating effectively with all across various platforms. In my position as the Patient Experience Manager at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, I encounter dozens of guests each day on the phone and in person. I also answer queries via email and social media. I have received recognition from executives for my friendly demeanor, patience, and ability to communicate professionally with everyone. I am known to get things done and always finding an answer.
Neco Ham Ying – Associate
Néco Ham-Ying was born in Birmingham, Alabama. She earned a B.A degree in Mass Communications from Tennessee State University, after which she immediately transitioned into her twenty-plus year career in hospitality. She has served within the hospitality industry in various capacities including: Flight Attendant/Eastern Airlines, Account Executive/WellCare Health Plans and Lead Concierge for the former Peabody Hotel Orlando, where she became a Certified Hospitality Supervisor. Néco is currently employed in the Planet Hollywood International Sales Department for over 13 years. After marrying, Néco moved to Florida with her loving husband of 30 years. They have two amazing sons.
Néco has been a member of the Central Florida Concierge Association for over 10 years. She received the CFCA Co-Associate Member Award in 2015 and the W.H.O. Star Award in 2008.
Néco has a passion and dedication for CFCA and is proud to be a member of the Board of Directors.
Nekane Alvarez – Past President/Board Advisor
I was born in Bilbao, in the Basque region of Northern Spain. I lived in London and Manhattan, before moving and settling in Orlando. I have been a concierge at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, and, for the last 7 years, at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando. I love reading, discovering new places, and nature. I appreciate art in different forms and sharing with friends what Florida has to offer.
